UFO was Gerry Anderson's first live-action TV series after a decade of producing such children's animated classics as Stingray (1963) and Thunderbirds (1964). The premise of UFO, which ran for a single season of 26 episodes in 1970, was like a more serious version of Anderson's Captain Scarlet (1967): in the near future of 1980, a high-tech secret organization, SHADO, waged covert war against mysterious alien attackers. Ed Bishop played the American head of SHADO--he had been previously featured in Captain Scarlet and Anderson's Doppelganger (1969)--though in all other respects this was a thoroughly British production. As with all Anderson series, UFO evidenced remarkable technological inventiveness and groundbreaking production values, coupled with startling lapses in fundamental logic too numerous to list.
Much more adult in story and content than earlier Anderson productions, and surprisingly dark with its pragmatic view of human nature and downbeat endings, the show now seems like a forerunner of The X-Files and the equally short-lived Dark Skies (1996). Barry Gray's memorable theme and atmospheric music greatly enhanced the overall impact. Stylishly made, though terribly sexist by current standards and featuring eye-catching costumes more fitted for a campy dress party than the front line of a futuristic war, this cult classic eventually evolved into Space: 1999 (1975).
The UFO DVDs have been beautifully designed and produced. The mono sound is exceptionally strong, and the restored and remastered picture is almost unbelievably good for a 1970 TV show. With barely a flaw anywhere, the episodes look so clear, colorful, and detailed that they could have been filmed last week. This eight-disc megaset features all 26 episodes. --Gary S. Dalkin
Customer Review: Looking Back on the Future
I was surprised at how well this show has held up over the years. The special effects are often spectacular even by today's standards (I'd much rather see good model work than poor computer animation any day). The scripts are inventive and moody. The drama is occasionally great, but sometimes is cliche and serves as a distraction from the plot unlike, say original trek where the drama was a natural extension of the plot. The outdated view of the future is actually part of the charm, but also, if one considers that the future they were attempting to project was only 12 years off, perhaps it isn't that outdated after all. I found no rascism or sexism in this series however, unlike some overly sensitive viewers here (the freedom for women to bare their bodies was considered part of their "liberation" in the late 60s). In fact, the show sports an attractive female colonel who is taken seriously by her colleagues.

David Icke - Secrets of the Matrix (Parts 1 -3)

How is the "world" a provable illusion - just a lucid dream? How do we create it and how can we change the dream to one that we would like to experience?
All is revealed by David Icke, live before almost 2000 people at one of London's most famous venues, the Brixton Academy.
Customer Review: Fascinating!
David is energetic and personable, it's hard not to like him. He has put together a powerful, well researched presentation and there's never a dull moment. It was riveting enough to sit through the whole six hours the first time I watched. I've watched it twice again and keep seeing things I missed before. There is a lot of information here and it will get the old brain cells fired up. (Things that make you go, 'hmmmm'.) The first two parts he talks about the state of the world today, then goes into history. As he talks there are continuous graphics behind him that show what he's talking about. As he goes along, he weaves together information in a very compelling way that is both powerful and amusing. He talks about Sept 11th, about the US Gov't, and yes, about reptiles. The last two hours were hard for me at first, I wasn't ready to go along with him after he'd gotten me so interested with facts and brilliant analysis. I forced myself to just sit and listen and I'm glad I did, it wasn't too weird for too long. I think of this DVD like a grand buffet table with hundreds of plates of delectable goodies, and some plates I'd rather not partake of. Just because a few items offered don't appeal to me doesn't mean I have to toss the whole thing out. There is definitely something worth experiencing here for people who are self thinkers as opposed to cookie cutter sameness addicts. I like his energy and intelligence, and hope to see more of him on DVD in the future.

David Icke talks with the Zulu Shaman Credo Mutwa.
In this fantastic interview, Credo Mutwa reveals the story of the reptilian takeover of Planet Earth and how a shape-shifting Reptilian race (the "Chitauri" to Africans) has controlled humanity for thousands of years and how their bloodlines are in the positions of royal, political and economic power today.
This program will re-write the UFO/ET story in a way that will blow your mind. Credo Mutwa has endured endless threats and attempts on his life, in an effort to silence him, right up to the recording of this interview. However, as Credo says, "The world must know this – and know it now."
David Icke writes: "This is the most amazing man it has ever been my honor to meet, a genius, and the importance of these videos is simply beyond words."
Customer Review: David Icke is a complete loon
David Icke, a man who saw the TV show "V", took a little bump on the noggin and now believes it to all be true. But wait...........there's something else! Unfortunately, no, there isn't. All there is, is a sad sad man a few dilythium crystals short of a warp drive.

this is a great toy - the kids love it...only problem is the squirter line isn't too long and the boys tend to pull the squirt gun out too much and re-threading it is a problem. but they do have a lot of fun with it. only other thing is that unless you have long arms - you stay pretty stationary in the water. young children feel more secure on this type of float - although really little guys can't use b/c of the hole in the center.

The incredible adventure begins when the discovery of an ancient pyramid buried in Antarctica sends a team of scientists and adventurers to the frozen continent. There, they make an even more terrifying discovery: two alien races engaged in the ultimate battle. Whoever wins...we lose.
Customer Review: An Action Packed Blast
I watched AVP with fairly low expectations after one or two reviews as savage as the two alien creatures featured in it. However, despite the fact that this isn't a perfect movie, I found it to be extremely enjoyable and didn't want it to end. Let's face it, this sort of film was always going to be more about action and somewhat less about storyline. And what action there is I found to be very entertaining, with lots of variety in the way the combat between the three races (if you include humans) takes place as well as many unpredictable moments and inventive use of each races particular traits. Quite simply all my favourite aspects of the two film series are thrown together in one place, and I'm praying for an even better sequel. To have a balanced viewpoint I should comment on the minor niggles that some people seem to dwell on (and miss out on the otherwise enjoyable parts of the movie). The plot itself - I won't comment on the specifics, but the story that emerges later on is perhaps a little too ambitous, and a simpler story that could have been built on in future sequel(s) may have been better received. My only other minor complaints were a couple of plot holes and minimal character development in most of the characters - but none of these will affect your enjoyment of this DVD as long as you don't dwell on them like most people seem to... A few years ago most people doubted whether this crossover would ever happen. Now it's here most people are demanding perfection! I for one would rather appreciate what we have got and think about two of the greatest and most inventive sci-fi creatures ever created battling it out before your eyes. Superb!
Customer Review: Amazing sound.
This is a very good player, the only con is the shuffling through the songs to find something specific. You cant go by artist or album, just what ever order they are put in. Don't really think of that as a con though when u compare it to the sound. The bass really comes out and the dynamics are great. Here is a dire request to anyone who has this player: If you connect it to your computer, open it's folder, and go to tools, then folder options. There find where it says "show hidden files and folders" and click it. You should see a file in your list of songs in the folder something like WMPinfo or close. I ACCIDENTALLY DELETED THIS FILE!! And now it wont turn on. If anyone could please, please send me this file at yknihc@gmail.com, I would be eternally grateful. Thanks.
Customer Review: Remember, you get what you pay for.
I just picked one up from Fry's, the 1 GB model for $100. The pros: Long battery life, ability to use an SD card to increase capacity (1 GB built-in and plus I am using a 1 GB SD card), good price, because it uses a single "AAA" battery I don't worry about having to recharge it, SRS sound, great headphones, light weight, easy to use buttons, two headphone jacks, no problems uploading via a standard USB cable, good display, built-in FM radio tuner, built-in mic. The cons: Feels cheap, fingerprints really show, no rechargeble battery, no handle, no case, no way to attach a lanyard, gray-scale display, much buckier than a Nano, and because of the way it is built, it is susceptible to lint and dust. I like it but I am not sure that I want to keep it. I think it is a lot of bang for the buck but I really looks and feels cheap!

The Eye Candy 5: Bundle The Eye Candy 5: Bundle offers three complete products for one low price. The bundle includes full, retail copies of Eye Candy 5: Textures, Eye Candy 5: Nature, and Eye Candy 5: Impact. Eye Candy® 5: Textures Eye Candy® 5: Textures is a collection of ten seamless texture generators. The first of three upgrades to Eye Candy 4000, Textures produces a wide variety of texture effects, including snake and lizard skin, fur, brick, stone and wood. Graphic designers, Web developers and 3D artists can quickly create backgrounds, skins, seamless tiles and more. Relying on the contents of a stock texture library limits creativity. Textures creates a limitless variety of photo-realistic surfaces. And, because every filter has a seamless tile option, tiling is quick and easy. Textures includes settings for over 200 frequently used effects. A new settings system makes it easy to explore these effects. The ability to save and export makes sharing settings a snap. Textures works with 16-bit images and does not compromise expanded color depth. Color transitions are smoother and print documents reproduce colors more accurately. Eye Candy 5: Nature Eye Candy 5: Nature, is a collection of ten Photoshop filters, which create fire, smoke, rust, snow, ice and more. The second of a three-part upgrade to Eye Candy 4000, Nature offers beautifully rendered effects that any novice or professional designer will appreciate. Nature includes four new filters and re
When they meet aliens who are lost, Dora and her pal decide to go looking for their home world. Kids will have a great time exploring space while learning with Dora!
Customer Review: All Dora fans unite!....
As with any Dora collection when this game first came out, I bought it for my daughter. I played it first with her, and she ended up taking the controller away from me because she was too eager to play. Easy to follow through, don't worry about Dora falling off a cliff, because the game doesn't allow that feature. Even though she has mastered the game, she still loves to pick a planet and play. As with other reviews, just limit the time that your child plays with the game, and remind them that the good ol'outdoors also has adventures just waiting to be 'explored'.
